You Can Feel the Shift… Maybe It’s Your Turn 🍂
You can feel the season changing. The mornings are cooler, the air feels different, and that familiar urge to get cozy starts settling in.
Sometimes, something inside us begins shifting, too.
You may not know how to explain it. Nothing dramatic has happened. You’re still showing up, handling your responsibilities, and doing what needs to be done. But underneath all of that, there’s a feeling: Something needs to change.
Maybe you’re tired of a routine that leaves no room for you. Maybe you keep reaching for something because it’s familiar, even though it no longer brings you peace. Maybe you miss feeling excited about your own life.
I think one of the hardest things is admitting that something can have a place in your story without needing a place in every chapter.
A habit. An expectation. A relationship. Even an old dream you’ve been carrying because you feel guilty putting it down.
Some things once helped us feel anchored. Over time, they can become the very things keeping us from moving forward. It’s okay to pause and ask, Is this still helping me grow? Or am I holding on because I’m afraid of what comes next?
You don’t have to figure out your whole future before trying something different.
Book the hairstyle you keep saving pictures of. Learn the skill you’ve been curious about. Make time for something you enjoy without needing it to become another responsibility. Have the honest conversation. Give yourself permission to change your mind.
A new hairstyle won’t solve everything, but sometimes that small decision reminds you that you still have choices. You can explore. You can begin again. You can discover parts of yourself that have been waiting for a little attention.
And letting go may take time. You can grieve what mattered while making room for what you need now.
If you’ve been feeling restless, uncertain, or quietly ready for more, give that feeling some care. Pray about it. Write it down. Take one small step and notice how you feel.
You don’t need every answer today.
The season is shifting. You’re allowed to shift with it.
What’s one thing you’re ready to release—or finally give yourself permission to try?
